Sarra Elgan

Sarra Elgan is an award-winning Welsh sports presenter.

Sarra is best known for presenting the weekly coverage across the Gallagher Premiership, United Rugby Championship and the Premiership Women’s Rugby for TNT Sports, BBC Sport, and S4C.

Sarra also presents the Autumn Internationals for Amazon, the Six Nations on S4C and has recently been awarded Best Presenter by RTS Cymru for her outstanding coverage of the Rugby World Cup in France with S4C. Sarra also presents on Jonathan – one of Wales’ highest rating chat shows on S4C – and hosts the weekly BBC Wales’ SCRUM V.

Her recent sport presenting credits include; Aviva Premiership on EPSN, the LV Cup and The British and Irish Cup. She covered the Celtic League Rugby, S4C/BBC Wales as well as hosting the Rugby World Cup. She presented Speedway on Sky Sports, Euro Cup Football in Portugal for CBBC and the magazine show Rugby Tonight for BT Sport.

Although Sarra is obviously extremely passionate about sport, she shifts effortlessly between entertainment and sport presenting, her recent credits include Wakestock for Channel 4, Red Bull Cliff Diving, Gogglebocs, 100% Rugby, Paparazzi on S4C as well as Bandit, a prime-time music show and Dial A Date on ITV.

Not limited to television Sarra co-hosts a weekly podcast for the evening standard ‘The Rugby Podcast’ with Lawrence Dallaglio. She had her own show for BBC Radio Wales and Red Dragon and also co-hosted the breakfast show on Radio Wales. She is also a popular choice for hosting events. Sarra comes from rugby heritage with her father, Elgan Rees, playing for Wales and The British Lions and her husband also a Lion, an Ireland rugby international as well as now a coach for the Irish team.
