Xelia Mendes-Jones
Xelia Mendes-Jones is an actor born and raised in London.
He has most recently starred as a series regular in Amazon’s hugely successful TV show ‘Fallout’ alongside Walton Goggins and Ella Purnell, which premiered in April 2024, and he is set to start work on its second season later this year. He also appeared as a guest star in the Season Two of hit fantasy show ‘The Wheel of Time’, also on Amazon, playing the villain Renna to critical acclaim. He has a supporting role in Gareth Evans’ upcoming action thriller feature film, ‘Havoc’, which also stars Tom Hardy and Forest Whitaker, and is due to be released on Netflix in the near future.
Until the age of 17, Xelia wanted to be a professional footballer, playing first for his boyhood club, Arsenal, and then later for their rivals, Tottenham Hotspur. He turned down a place in the first team squad at Spurs in order to go to university, at which point he decided to pursue acting instead. Xelia trained at the Identity School of Acting for two years while working full-time as a model. He still follows football and Arsenal religiously, attending matches at the Emirates whenever he is able to, and making sure to wake up at any hour required to watch games when he’s away from home shooting. He is openly transgender.
