Matt Spracklen
Matt Spracklen is a broadcaster, presenter, podcaster and face behind popular Instagram account Rock’n’Roll Birder.
Matt has two passions in life – both of which he started at an early age; birdwatching at 4, playing music at 5, and has built a hugely successful career in both.
As a musician Matt has toured the world playing in bands and studied music in Nashville, Tennessee, and has worked with many artists including Nikki Sixx, Joanne Cash, Elvis Costello, Papa Roach and Green Day. More recently, Matt has worked with brands such as Samsung and Jack Daniel’s at music events all over the UK promoting content on his Instagram channel as well as becoming an ambassador for the new Hard Rock Cafe at Piccadilly Circus. Matt appeared as a judge on Series 2 of ‘All Together Now’ on BBC One alongside Geri (Halliwell) Horner and Rob Beckett. Matt was also the Music Editor of the @London Instagram channel, and is an ambassador for the iconic Hard Rock Cafe, Captain Fawcett as well as presenting a regular show on Country Line Radio, and stages at C2C and The British Country Music Festival.
Matt launched the @RocknRollbirder Instagram account in January 2024, allowing him to share his passion for birding and the natural world with a new generation of followers. He has since amassed a dedicated audience, including some very famous faces, and launched the Rock ‘n Roll Birder podcast in April 2024 with his co-host and wife Sarah. The podcast has renewed for a second series.
